For the last game of the season in the second American Football League (GFL2) received the Kaiserslautern Pikes Franken Knights of the league leaders in front of nearly 1,000 spectators at the South School. After the Knights had been given before the kickoff handed the championship trophy at AFVD Vice President Thomas Meyer, they let the Pikes at a gala performance with no chance and won 48:7.
The honor for the 7:48-Touchdown Result labeled Linebacker Luke Mertens ...
He caught a short pass from replacement quarterback Jens Fischer and carried him over 60 yards into the end zone of the Knights. The more than 1,000 fans at the South School celebrated the only points for the Pikes omitted.
Previously acted only the Knights. In the first half quarterback Josh Kittel proved that he is fit after an injury to the Relegation for promotion to the GFL and delivered a strong game. Drive to drive the Franks screwed up the score until the break at 34:0. The Pikes were in turn put little emphasis on the offensive and had to be content with a few first downs. Pike head coach Sven-gloss was still pleased, "Franks today was just another number too big for us. “ But our aim to keep the class that we have reached a long time. "
After the break, put the same picture: The Pikes had little opportunity to points on the blackboard. Only once they got to 15 yards from the endzone and failed to score another drive with a Fieldgoalversuch from 40 meters. Without the-choice quarterback on the field, turned on the Knights back a gear and still achieved two more touchdowns.
Premiere at the quarterback position, celebrated on the side of Pikes Kai disc. In the last quarter, he ran was a passable performance for Denis Rohleder. Rohleder had been standing at this point at every single turn, the Offense-season on the field. "Denis has this season made a big step forward," Gloss showed him respect.
